Our story
Born from generosity, shaped by art
Yoga taught me to slow down enough to truly look: at the way light moves through the leaves, the patience held in a pair of hands, and the quiet dignity of things made slowly, not hurriedly.
I came to Bali seeking stillness and found something greater: a community. In the Tegallalang jungle, I spent weeks learning from the people who live there; a way of living, working, and understanding beauty that has been passed down through generations and shared with generosity.
There is a beauty that only appears when you stop rushing towards it. Nature knows it. Human hands do too.
BALIKISS was born from that intimacy. Each piece carries the hands, the story, and the spirit of the person who created it.

Behind every piece is a name. We work directly with four artisans in Bali. No factories. No middlemen. No mass production.
Jero is an artisan and a shop owner, a loving mother and a good friend for anyone standing in her way. She has been weaving in her Ubud workshop for over 20 years. Every stitch is a decision. Every dress, hours of silent work. Every day and every smile holds acts of love and gratitude towards life.
Wayan is the owner of the workshop in Bali, where we make our Yoga Clothes . He designs in collaboration with us, and tailors clothing that honors movement. Every piece of yoga wear is designed to feel good on and off the mat. And every day working with him, his team overflows of happiness and good values that he wants to share with the world.
Ni Made clothing is a humble store that connects the local artisans with the touris encounter needed to get their products out to the world. This family workshop is located a few meters from the Tegallalang rice paddies and the famous Alas aurum.
With a deep respect for Balinese craftsmanship, Wawan helps every Balikiss piece find its way from the artisan's hands to yours. Thoughtfully overseeing each step with care and attention, he ensures every creation reflects the authenticity, quality, and spirit that define our brand.
What matters to us
Royal craftsmanship
No two pieces are alike. Every imperfection is a mark of authenticity. Every variation, the imprint of hands.
Fair trade
We buy directly from the artisans. No intermediaries to diminish the value of their work. No haggling.
Slow fashion
Limited edition collections. Actual stock, not overproduction. When it's gone, there's no immediate restock.
Natural materials
Cotton, linen, rattan, bamboo rayon. Materials that come from the earth and return to it with dignity.
Transparency
We know exactly where each piece comes from, who made it, and how much we paid them. No secrets.
Elegance in simplicity
Boho chic isn't about excess. It's about nature, texture, and movement. It's about knowing what to remove as much as what to add.
The materials
Every fabric has a natural history. We select only materials that the earth can return: materials that time doesn’t destroy, but rather improves.
